Given the breadth and depth of expertise and experience on the forum it strikes me that there must be a few Mike Brewers and Ed Chinas out there! Has anyone turned a MH around AND made a profit? I'd be interested to hear your story as I bought our 1998 Hymer E510 for just £10k...

I have bought several from British Car Auctions. First in Peterborough and when they moved to Nottingham. Made a profit on everyone. Some were just polished and sold others a little more work. One I bought was a Burstner tag axle that had damage to the nearside GRP skirt. Tried various dealers and traders in the UK to get the parts I needed with no luck. I ended up contacting the factory in Germany who were extremely helpful. I arranged to collect the parts and incorporated it into a holiday. We were given a tour of the factory with a free breakfast included! Collected the parts I needed and returned home. I fitted the new skirts and sold it to a professional cyclist who wanted it for the European Cycling race tour.
