Hi all it’s time to insure our current van which is not a problem because it’s 3 years old and under a 100k. The problem comes with our new van coming at the end of the year, I need an insurance on our current van that I can just increase to our new vans value, but many won’t touch vans of high values over 100k. We are insured with the caravan and motorhome club who said no as did the camping and caravan in club.
we may end up just insuring the old van and loosing the last few months but does seem a waste if I can sort it now.
Thanks

Have you tried AIB ...they were at the time the only ones who would insure our Carthago ..

There aren't so many choices when the value increases, some are ridiculously low.

Be careful with NFU because they don't offer full cover in Croatia, Morocco etc.

Since 1996, had Elddis/Swift/Rapido/Rimor/Chausson MHs. Autocruise/Globecar PVCs/Compactline i-138
Try Lifesure, the used to be MCIA (motorhome specific) but now do other things hence the name change, we've found them very helpful and cheaper than the competition for the same cover and with the same well know underwriters (Ageas).

NFU louth, if you have stopped laughing that is. And switch now, plus put your car(s) with them. Assuming they will have you of course they are fussy who they accept I am afraid. So good luck.

Thanks all I’ll try Nfu then. It’s not quite 150k it’s 142 but the insurances say upto 150 then over 150, the problem is their not moving with the times it’s easy to spend over a 100k let’s face it it’s not hard to get up to 200k for some and well above most bigger family cars are now around 50k.
As for buying in Germany when we were last at Niesmann in Polch I asked and I have tried a few dealers since it’s a no go for a right hand drive with uk fittings.
Thanks again
(when I said tractor I was joking😁😁)

As I said worth moving to NFU in advance. You will not get a UK spec van in DE except by fluke. If you accept LHD no issues, they will anglicise your lights and 230vac sockets if you demand. A good NB dealer is Durrwang in Dortmund. English speakers and experienced in export.
