Who has good weather in France as we are fed up with the rain (I know we are lucky if that’s all we have got to worry about)

Not France I grant you, but the weather from the Netherlands through to Northern Germany has been lovely, and is set to continue apparently. ;)

Cheers,

You don't say where you are or how far you're prepared to travel, so difficult to help.

We are on the Med coast near Montpellier.

The weather here is unsettled and has been for a week or two.

There are a few days of rain forecast for next week, but apart from that it's sunny with temperatures hovering around 27-29C.

But as mentioned above, it's only a forecast.

Weather has been all over the place throughout August in France. The two week heatwave in the south was Horrendous and the only way we could escape it was to drive across France and 6200ft up the Pyrenees. Then it went the other way and was freezing and wet! Up and down all the time. Its a bit better now in the Dordogne where we are now but there have been a lot of showers. Even the south of France there are no guarantee's now even in the middle of Summer.

We were at St Cirien coast off Perpignon a couple of days ago, it was mostly very comfortable mid 20s. Now in Taragonna where it's high 20s, but quite breezy, which can be nice at night time for sleeping.
Will probably move further south shortly though.
Mike.

Saturated like complete amateurs yesterday on the bikes
Lunch was outside someone's house under their tree. 4 times we had to seek shelter, but we remained in shorts.
No long trousers (waterproofs once) have been worn in the making of the Journal.
Afternoons have been pleasant

We are heading over on 19th and will follow the weather. Tend to rely on Ventusky though I like the country maps on France Meteo. Will also download Windy.com.

I used to laugh at my mum who perused all the forecasts to choose the best. As seems to happen, I am assuming some of my parents’ traits and habits.

We live in The Charente. We had 2 weeks of high 30s to low 40s, then had nothing but torrential rain and thunderstorms for the last few days. Today, the sun has finally arrived and we have the lovely Charente Blue sky!! It's still a bit breezy, though. We're heading to England in a few days, though, where I believe the weather is better than here!!! Then off to the US, where it will be considerably better

We are in Dinan on the municible site where are you

Italy looked good on the weather map yesterday ..... You've got three weeks Pete, plenty of time to get there (or somewhere else) and then back home.

We are on our 10th day in France doing the Western side before going into North Spain and maybe Portugal. It’s rained on 7 of those days with torrential downpours at times. Yesterday, fed up with the weather, we changed our planned visit to Blaye where another very wet day was forecast to drive to Saint-Jean-de-Luz where it’s warm and dry, until tomorrow that is.

Had intermittent rain for the last week since we arrived in France… currently in the Champagne region fishing a gorgeous lake and TBH, the weather is perfect for carp fishing! 🎣 🌧️

And just to prove it’s good Carp fishing conditions, this little beauty made an appearance… 🤪

Hi Peter and Carole

We are down near Toulouse and the weather has basically been good, we had a family wedding here last week and the Ceremony day was Thursday and it stayed dry bar a few spots, Friday it chucked it down but after that dry again during the day, we were thinking of heading to Brittany but don't think we should rush looking at the forecast so a few ,ore days down here first.

When I worked, I owned and ran a business called Van Bitz now incorporated into Watt Guardz owned by my Son.

I used to get really frustrated by customers saying, we only had four weeks left before we had to get the ferry, so it wasn't worth moving

We as family would be lucky to get three weeks holiday lol

Now I don't work, I sympathise with the "can't be arsed for our week" brigade

Ridiculous, now I’m glad of the shade from the trees as it’s a bit hot. But it’s good to see a proper sky.
