That is adhesive.

Looked at puraflex 40.But does say adhesive. I want a none setting one in case I have to remove a window in the future. (y).sounds like sikalastomer 710 will do the job. Thanks for quick replies(y)

The adhesive quality is the problem. Or will be if the item one intends to seal ever requires removal.
But I would have thought that all sealants were also adhesives, if the sealant does not adhere to what you are trying to seal then it won't work. I have removed a roof light that was fixed with PU40 and it wasn't difficult.

Sikaflex 512 is the most suitable one.
I am sure it will do the job but just to emphasise my early post.

He’s correct. I used this to (schoolboy error) refit a leaking window. It fixed the leak but I hope I never need to remove it again. I would use a none setting one next time.

I've used butyl mastic tape (also available in gun cartidge form) very extensively for anything that doesn't require fixing on caravans and motorhomes for the past 40 years. It doesn't set, it doesn't leak, and is very easy to apply. Removal is easy and remnants can be cleaned off using White Spirit. There is no point in using a PU adhesive for windows, rooflights, water fillers, locker door surrounds, etc which all have perfectly adequate means of attachment to the van. All that's needed is a sealant. PU adhesive has incredible holding power, can only be cleaned off mechanically, and is unaffected by any solvent. Where a fix is needed it is excellent. Otherwise steer clear.

Exactly what you need when putting a window in.

In boats they use Arbormast BR. It allows for movement so maintains a seal. That's what I would use having had 13 window frames rebedded with this stuff on a boat, and never having any further leaking issues. My son also fits domestic windows and he swears by it.
