Hi
We're new at this and would love to know which campsites the more travelled would recommend - a reccomendation si much better than any site advert ( given some that I've read in other topics (captions!!):Rofl1:

Thanks - if you have a webpage link that would be great too :)

Try the one in my Signature Cwmcuttan. It's Dylans on here and it a really super CL in Wales.

Well worth a visit.

Will do :) I have already looked at tht one - looks fantatsic :) hopefully will visit soon

Garliston, Dunfries & Galloway, overlooking the bay, good walking along the coast & quiet roads. :thumb:

This is our favourite because it caters for the children so well.

The beach is a 2 minute walk - literally the other side of the road. There are childrens and adult competitions daily during the day, they have an indoor pool with jaccuzzi an outdoor pool, fitness centre, a fish & chip shop on site, a restaurant which does a very reasonable half board if you dont fancy cooking. Evening entertainment with a main show room and an adult only bar (after 9pm)

They have go carts to rent out, there is a golf course and fishing lake on site.

They even have their own little train which for 50p takes you into town. So you dont even need to unhook from the mains.

They have mains service pitches, electric pitches and wild camping too.

Check here for more details UK Family Holiday Caravan and Camping Park - Searles Holidays Resort in East Anglia be ware though

We have had to book up for next summer already and the following easter. Its getting to popular so regulars like me are finding it hard to book pitches during holiday time.

I can second the recommendation for Hidden Valley, by Wildman.

Not camped there, but Lisa and I had our 20th wedding party there, it is truly a beautiful spot.

Hi we use
Riverside Caravan Park George Inn
The George Inn

GL2 7AL
, as a stop off place half way down to Cornwall.Great site on the river a couple of mls off the m/way.We sometimes stay a couple of nights instead of one because it is nice and relaxing :thumb:

My absolute favourite campsite would be on the outskirts of Tarifa and incredibly called Camping Tarifa. Stayed there a few times in the 90's and it was marvellous. Glad it is still there and gets a 4.1 rating (out of 5) on Google.

(Have no idea why post from 2007 showed up at the top of my "what's new"!!!!! )

We love Concierge Camping in Chichester and Swiss Farm in Henley

This thread is from 2008!

www.cornishfarm.com

An excellent well maintained site run by very friendly and helpful wardens.
Situated near Taunton, Somerset.
Just a short bus ride to the centre of Taunton, or an easy walk for the fit and healthy.
Also the home to Vanbitz your Motorhome Security specialist.

So ????? still an interesting thread !!!!
I think Terry was shocked to see the thread again . It’s been 14 years since he last posted in it 👍🏻
Still as relevant today as it was all those years ago 👍🏻

Bois Soleil , outside Royen , beautiful site , great memories of holidaying with my amazing outlaws , UK would have to be Concierge Camping and THE COTSWOLDS 🤣😂🤣

Highlands End Dorset,,👍

Another vote for Highlands End, we’re only an hour away and always make sure we pop down at least twice a year to stay even though we go there for a winter’s walk anyway.
