Yesterday I had a diary reminder that I should check- in for Le Shuttle. The start of 5 weeks exploring the bottom half of Norway. Just wondered where other people might have planned to be around now - UK or abroad.

Mindful that we would not have had the opportunity were it not for our brave soles who we will be honouring today.

Sounds boring but we would be right here at home. We’re lucky that we don’t need to go away during public holidays. Usually when the majority are off work and going away we stay home and get some jobs done. We were supposed to be away from 3rd June. Northumberland then The Isle of Harris. With a night on Seil visiting a mate. We’ll see.

Thursday afternoon we should have set off on a 3 week trip to Italy So last night we would have stayed somewhere around Locarno and today we'd be travelling to Bergamo. Fingers crossed we can do it next year instead....assuming we both manage to get 3 weeks off work!

In late April I usually go away to The Lake District with the locals from a pub I used to work at.

Missing the bluebells at Rannerdale this year and catching up with some lovely people! I hope to visit them again next year in the van I'm converting.
