Burstner T700
My motorhome is stored in a storage site where we are not allowed to wash it.
I cannot wash it at home because the roads are too narrow and it would upset the neighbours.
I have only found one business which will clean my motorhome on their site. I have used them once - they charged me a load of money and badly scratched a skylight so I won't use them again.
All the motorhome cleaning services I find on the internet are mobile and want to come to my site to do the work!

My lovely old Burstner Delphin Performance T700 is badly in need of a good clean - especially the roof!

So after that ramble - does anyone know of a site within easy reach of Birmingham where I can take my motorhome so that I can clean it myself. All I need is space, a tap and a drain. I am willing to pay to hire such facilities.

Thanks in anticipation!

Colin

Load up with whatever you need to wash up with take a trip out and then there will be no problem unless you run out of something.

I am sure somewhere off grid for a short trip would be ok..

Have you tried the car wash guys that seem to be on every street corner, might be costly but it's only once or twice a year?

If we knew where you were I'm sure many of us would be happy to wash it on our drive, I'll rephrase that, for you to wash it on our drive. 🙂 I'm in west Norfolk.

Edit: Note to self, read the post properly - Birmingham!

agreed try the many eastern European car wash places and in between main washes use showroom shine, waterless wash. excellent product

I feel your pain, especially as we adore our vehicles so much.

In the past, I’ve booked onto sites and washed the van there, including the roof.

Failing that, I’d fill my 4 20ltr water cans up, drive to a suitably large park, lay-by etc and decant into a bucket and wash that way. If you spray the van down with autoglym motorhome cleaner and then wash with a brush, you’ll have it done in no time.

When in storage, I use waterless wash, it’s brilliant. Also got myself a smaller step ladder and it really makes a difference and you may well be able to use that at your storage compound, as it doesn’t leave a mess, can be used indoors or out and no puddles of water to worry about.

You can get this online from Wilco, £4 a bottle, or Sainsbury's sell it at £10 a bottle, the robbers.

Most of the hand car wash guys use pressure washers so I wouldn't let them near a motorhome.

As sonar take what you need and find a little car park in a forest on on the hills.
Least you can spend the night out.

I would steer clear of commercial veh washers, most of them use quite strong detergents which will do your plastics, bodywork no good. Better to buy yourself a worx battery wash sprayer and a few buckets and find a council car park on a early Sunday morning. Use Autoglym caravan and Motorhome shampoo and conditioner sounds daft but it really works if you have really stubborn dirt.
