January 25th where to take the wife for her birthday?
In the UK
Not into shopping, thank goodness
Possibly a nice meal (not to expensive!)
With the MH on a campsite of sorts
Not to far from Devon up to say 200 miles away
Possible a rally

That’s cruel. Hope your wife doesn’t see your reply.

Yes I know it was a joke. Where can I take her?

What are her hobbies / interests?

Plan around that and you (probably) won't go far wrong.

You could try for a pitch on Bristol Wharf CMC site. Lots of things to do and see here.
Motown the musical on at the Hippodrome should be a good night out?

Bath campsite is really nice and a really lovely City. Well within your mileage radius and some fantastic restaurants and good city tours. Good comedy clubs etc. Unfortunately the Bath Comedy walk made famous by our own @JJ is only on from April.

Tudor campsite within walking distance of Slimbridge and a pub at the gate.

CCC site near Devizes, backs onto the canal, walk up canal and Caen locks to Devizes, one pub near site entrance and another along the canal ( The Barge)

@Devon Sue beat me to it.

Pub right outside, The Three Magpies, food and drink reliable.

Along the canal bank, but not suitable for a walk in the dark, The Barge Inn.

Only a fool would walk home from the Barge Inn with beers on board in the dark.

We chose to cycle instead.

With no lights.

And an 8 year old daughter who wasn’t that good at cycling.

I would second Devises but if not you could think about St Ives.

Some nice places to eat and no crowds this time of year.

Agree. Stayed there last new year. Tow path was very wet then. Dog needed washing off in canal.

There's a bench on the opposite bank with a tribute to a father and son who drowned in the canal. Apparently they were maintaining the path and the tractor they were using toppled into the canal after the bank gave away.

That’s sad.:(

We were just irresponsible parents that day/ night.

If you don't know, why would you think a load of strangers would know, just asking?
I mean this light heartedly but I am trying to resist using emojis, thought I'd better edit post as I realised it looked really mean.

Cotswolds. Either Broadway or Moreton on the Marsh. Both are within walking distance of some good pubs with good food. Also good bus system that can take you to Cheltenham a nice town.

I would second a Broadway and now the railway line is open next to the C&MC site you can take a steam train trip to Cheltenham. The train route stops at the race course but you could then get a bus into Cheltenham centre.

Dulverton is a nice little town with a CCC site and some nice restaurants and pubs.

Vanbitz is almost on your doorstep, you can buy her something for your MH that you will both enjoy.
