Currently in Staffordshire and want to continue up t'north towards the lake district but with a stop off on route to anywhere that anyone maybe able to recommend? Dont want to drive a long one today. Tired out after family get together. ?‍ Somewhere with nice views and walks, pub for a bite to eat and a beer of an avo/eve. Kind regards, Ry

You were down in Cornwall last I read from you.
Your best bet is probably to look on camper contact or search for sites and see what you fancy, from Staffordshire to lake District is a very large area. Also depends how far off the M6 you want to go ?
Delamere forest, Wirral, Southport ???

If you fancy going the scenic route, go up The Wirral and through the Mersey tunnel.

Caravan Club site at Wirral Country Park is lovely.

Have you thought about a nice pub stop? The apps all seem to have them - we use them at least once a week during our wanderings in the UK. Got one "planned" on our way to Malvern.

Thank you all, threw a bit of a curve ball in and now in Ludlow. We literslly pointed at the map and feel we want a longer time in the lakes, so Cotswolds bound we think now. ???

The lakes will be a separate trip then ?
Wise move, it sometimes easy to try and cram too much in and you end up missing so much.
The Cotswolds should keep you entertained nicely.

I met up with my son, DIL and their caravan on the CAMC site at Burford two weeks ago. I don't really do 'sites' but immaculate facilities and well situated for the quaint villages.

Figaro definitely will. Want to try and do it justice, same for Scotland as would love to do there but bumbling about this trip! Maybe more organisation on my half is needed, as i am so ad hoc. This time around!! ???
