What ever happened to the Much Wenlock site?

A few years ago we stayed on a campsite in Much Wenlock.

It was run by one of the two main clubs (I think it was a Caravan Club site?), but when we were there last, the wardens said the land owner wanted there site back and that was their last season there before it closed down.

The site looked like it was built on an old railway station, it had a platform and lots of old signage.

Does anyone know what happened to this site in the end?

Did it re-open as privately owned?

Or has it got a block of flats built on it now??

It's now an upmarket residential site, although I think it may have a small number of touring pitches.

I don't think you'd get permission for a block of glats on Wenlock Edge.!
