What do you know about Net Neutrality....

We have net neutrality. So do the Americans (for now).

Basically, the ISP's in the States want to charge more for fast internet. To companies like Netflix.

They want to be paid twice for the same service. It will be bad if it happens.

Absolutely nothing,zilch,nowt,nada rien,bugger all.

Wiesel is right to a point. Net Neutrality is good for you and me, but bad for the ISPs. The more people like Amazon, Netflix, Gogle etc pump out content the more bandwidth is required. The ISPs say that if for example you want to watch a movie or stream TV over the web rather than just browsing somebody should pay for the increased traffic. Since most offer supposedly unlimited downloads, the next money supply is the content providers. If the US govt. wins, and if say Verizon say to Netflix pay us to transmit your content where do you think Netflix's increased costs are going to be passed to?

I guess the big worry is when EU law is transferred to British law, as part of Brexit, it would be up to the UK government to decide its policy on net neutrality and it may not be the same as the current EU view which I think most of us like.
