Before we went shopping this morning, I let the dog out the front for a wee! He never came back in like normal but was running back and forward at the front of our van barking, stopping and jumping up at the grill, pawing it and whimpering. No matter what I said to him he wouldn't leave the van.
I imagined the worst. During the last cold spell we (and the neighbours) had spotted rats (we're surrounded by farmland) and I thought maybe one was up nesting inside the engine compartment, if not rats there must certainly be mice. Whatever it was our Cavachon wanted it.
I fetched the keys and released the bonnet catch. With some trepidation I opened the bonnet and as I did so, next doors black cat jumped out! Our dog has a love/hate relationship with the neighbours 3 cats. When we talk about them we have to spell out the word C A T, if we accidentally say the word the dog gets so excited wanting out, 'Let me at them!' He's so comical.
Well at least we don't have vermin
