The second step comes from 12 April would see major parts of the economy permitted to reopen:
  • Non-essential retail opens, hairdressers and public buildings like libraries and museums
  • Outdoor settings like alcohol takeaways, beer gardens, zoos and theme parks
  • Indoor leisure like swimming pools and gyms
  • Self-contained holiday accommodation, such as self-catering and camp sites

Is this verbally explained by Boris , or just taken from the BBC web this morning as a surmise of what they believe he is going to do?
From what I read, it will all still be dependant on each stage meeting the required levels before moving onto the next stage, not that each stage will go ahead just by date and time.
Only my view though, so don’t shoot me.
Would be nice if 12 April was d-day!🤗

12th April if all parameters are met.
This is the earliest but could still be later.
Even though we had bookings from the 1st April I actually think it’s a good idea to delay the lifting of restrictions till after Easter.
bbc website is my source.

Just dropped some images here with the dates/rule changes going forward
