Finally got the chance to put my Moho on a weighbridge today. 3760 Kg was the figure recorded. My MGVW is 4250 kg
So I did some measuring of fresh water still in the tank ( ran it into a bucket , counted the bucketfuls and did some number crunching ) . Then emptied hot water tank and calculated that . Then added on My weight ( I wasn’t in the van when they recorded it ) and then my regular second passenger who wasn’t there either ( wifey was in her throne at the front ) and ended up with a margin of 348 kg .
So even allowing for a full tank of fuel which we rarely have , I’ve got a lot of space left for liquid refreshments ?.
On a more worrying note , the weighbridge didn’t offer an axle weight facility so still a bit nervous on that score

The day before we set off to Spain for our first winter away I filled the fuel tank, water tank, gas tank, picked my carer up after work and went on the weighbridge for the FOURTH time to get a finished weight and was pleased to say all axles ok (3) and GVW nearl 300under. ?

On the weighbridge i use, i drive off leaving the rear axle on only and deduct that weight from the total.it will give an indication at least.not 100%accurate but something to work from.

I went to all the trouble because we changed moho’s because I could only get the first one to 3850kgs.
Now with extra hab batteries, solar, sat dish , lpg tank and scooter out back on a rack I’m happy. ?
