Water tank cap lanyard

Anyone know if it's possible to get a replacement plastic lanyard for a 2006 Hymer? Ours as you can see is hanging on by a thread. The two ends have a bell shaped swelling that pushes through the holes on the body and the cap. It's lasted 14 years so I can't complain.

Our way of not leaving the cap behind after filling is to leave the keys(all on the same bunch) in the cap, so no possibility of starting the engine without replacing the cap and retrieving the keys.

We never had a lanyard.

Snap it orf push back through hole in cap and melt end and flatten it
That will be be two Guineas cos SuperMike will want his cut
