Water pump stops then starts

Hi all I've fitted a sureflo pump and expansion tank .worked great but last time I used water pump, the pump starts then stops pumping for a few seconds then starts again then keeps repeating...pumps then stops for a few seconds then pumps again...when tap open.any ideas why.thank you

What's the flow rate like? Ours does that when the tap is only open a bit.

The flow is good .just drops a little pressure but keeps running .with tap full open.

Have you tried adjusting the pressure switch screw on the end of the pump? It tell you how to set it in the instructions.
Also may have air in the system I had a similar problem when I first fitted mine started playing up after a week. Try opening all the taps just a fraction and let the pump run for about 5 min, that cured mine.
