Water pump has no power

I’m a newbie.
Hello,
My van is a Fiat Ducato 1995 Dethleffs motorhome.

It has been away getting body repair over the winter, during which time, the body repair team drained it.

I collected it on Monday (10th March). I drove home, about 100 miles.

Today, Thursday morning, I filled the fresh water tank and pressed the ‘on’ button. There’s no power going to the pump.

The electricity works fine with everything else.

The two fuse switches next to the boiler are on.

I’m unsure what else to do or check.

I’ve attached a photo of a connector I found loose. I’m unsure if this has anything to do with it.

Any help appreciated.

Have you checked the power with a multimeter or is it that the pump just does not run? It may have seized. Try tapping it with to free it if it is seized.

If no power it may be worth swapping out the fuse as they sometimes look good but are not. Try running a twin core (fused) direct from the battery to the pump to check it.

That looks like a random piece of wire rather than a pice of the wiring loom. Might be wrong.

I find pumps have a lifespan measured in months.
I'm on my third one since 2019, current one is over 2 years old which is a record!
I always carry a spare water pump in the tool box.
It's easy, but fiddly, job to swap them over.
 
Hi all - from my knowledge, the pump is behind the left-hand drivers seat.

I’m unsure whit fuse to check/change.

I’m still new to MH’ing.

Any guides to buying a new one appreciated as well.

(I’m at work now - I can do better visual checks and send photos tonight)

Surflo, TrailKing and others make water pumps. Just match the PSI and flow rate approximately from the label of the pump you have.

Do check power is reaching the existing pump with a simple multimeter before buying though.

I seem to have read a number of posts about failures of some motorhome part or function after the vehicle has been for repair. Often these may be miles away from where the owner lives. Although it may be a bit time consuming and seem like we don't trust the workmanship, perhaps we need to make a few checks before driving away?
 
The attached photos is the pump - located behind the seat.

I now need to know where to find the fuse and also find a multimeter - assuming it’s the fuse or pump that’s broken.

Any idea where the fuse may be?

You need to know if you have voltage at the connector by the pump. A multimeter or a test bulb will do. Knowing if you have power or not will help progress
 
Am I missing the pump. I can’t see it. Think it might be an internal one
Is that the outflow on the top or a breather tube. It doesn’t have anything connected to it

On enlarging the pic I think you are right. The pump wiring goes into the tank.
 
On our Dethleffs, the pump was a small submersible in the tank. It stopped working a couple of times and needed replacing.
If you remove the green cap you should be able to see and access the pump. Ours was a Comet pump, widely available including eBay and Amazon. Just match the duty to the existing.
