We've had exactly the same problem whilst we were at Bridlington campsite last week in our 2010 Autosleeper Sussex duo.

One evening we heard a beeping in the van, tracked it down to the pump button on the Sargent control panel. The fresh water indicators were on low/empty so, despite no way it could've been empty, we topped it up till it showed full.

Seconds after it was topped up, it showed empty again and the pump started complaining once more.

After much Google searching it appears that it's a common problem and is caused by the level sensors in the fresh water tank getting covered in calcium over time.

Spoke to our dealer who confirmed what Dr Google told me, and it's booked in for rectification under warranty.

Same happens with our Auto-Trail Imala, (19 plate) shows empty even when it is overflowing, after a short drive to destination shows full. On site will show 25% full then 50% full, keeps me guessing how much water we have left.
- How long is the water OK to use? Don't drink cold from tap, always make instant coffee.

Level gauges are notoriously inaccurate.
When there's no water/spluttering at the taps you're out of water.
When water comes up the shower tray drain the grey is full.
Foolproof.

We've got a water meter gadget that has a hoselock connector on each end that tells me how much water I've put in. Doesn't tell you how much is left, but gives you an idea how much you've used since last fill.

I have had this probkem with our grey waste level. So now I unscrew the cap off of the waste tank, reach inside with a cloth that I'll throw away, not kitchen towel it's no good and then wipe the level probes using washing up liquid, then rinse/wipe off with a clean wet cloth.
Then dry.
It is awkward and yes I have long arms, but it works.
