i have a Ace airstream 630PR motorhome 2007 reg. my problem is the cab overhead skylight appears to have water in it and wonder if anybody knows how to remove it. it appears to be of double skinned and with 2 vent plugs at the top corners. Any help would be greatly accepted. thanks.

Take the plugs out and wait for it to evaporate.

You may find that you have a hairline crack along one of the bonded edges of the two panes, which will let water in again……..

if you have try this.

It is really thin and will run along the crack with capillary attraction, and invisible if carefully used.

Probably nothing wrong with it. Acrylic is micro pourus to water vapour that's why you often get condensation in the double glazed windows and why the plugs are there so you can dry them out.

Be aware that getting the plugs out is so hard they often get pushed inside rather than come out. The dealers have a special tool I understand. If you can’t get them out & push them inside then good quality clear tape does the trick to re seal the holes.

Often these type of windows get condensation inside during winter, the dealers remove the plugs & put warm air through one hole to expel the air and leave dry air inside. I used to let mine clear in tge sun, and they always did by May time.

Just out of curiosity……how much condensation would you need before you called it water?

The OP referred to it as water.

If it were on the inside surface of the outer glass in a patch I would call it condensation but if it had collected inbetween the panes at tge bottom due to gravity etc I would possibly call it water, but qualify it as coming from condensation rather than water ingress unless it was clearly coming from outside 😜

Have removed a bung and syphoned water out (about half a jam jar). Bought some rubber grommets to replace bung. Spotted a hairline crack in internal side of window and placed tape over it. Now seems OK. Thanks for all the help.
