Watch/Unwatch (1 Viewer)

Could one of you officianados explain to me why I check the box to "watch" certain threads with an email alert but after a while I get no notifications although the "watch with email reminder" box is still ticked. I then "unwatch" and then "watch" again and for a while it is fine but eventually it reverts back to no notifications.

I have the same issues & missing some threads I am watching
I have to find it from the search button then press unwatch then watch again, seems to time out after a number of updates on the page

I believe you only get an alert for the first post since you last looked, if you miss the alert or don’t open the thread you will not get another alert

Surly that would show in your alert option.
does that mean I need to press the unwatch/watch button each time I get an alert?

email alerting was removed a while ago due to their IP's keep getting black listed i believe so now its just notification in the browsers
