Hi
Picking up our used(3 year old) mh on Tuesday, it has had all habitation checks/service etc done, and the people who we are buying it from have looked after it well.
But for peace of mind for the first year at least we are looking to get a warranty, any recommendations or companies to be wary of would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Many dealers sell / include a warranty, often from M&G, to protect themselves moreso than the customer, as we found out when our airbag e.c.u. failed, illuminating the airbag warning light, this is a vital part of the vehicle system & a M.O.T. failure - was it covered ?

No.

IMV warranties waste of money. If it's covered it will be something simple and cost very little to fix...Save your penny's.

If your buying private can you then purchase a warranty ???
Thought it was only when buying off a dealer, or have i read your post wrong.

How long is the dealers warranty?

Any warranty co will either have to charge high enough premiums to cover all claims at retail cost plus admin plus a fair bit of profit or have so many get out clauses that they never pay much out. I probably wouldn't bother but would check the manufacturers damp checks have been done to the letter and keep those up to date.

Keep your money in YOUR pocket so its there if needed, not someone else’s pocket so you can play a game and try and get it back.

Buying through a broker (Motorhome Depot), warranty on mh has elapsed, reading replies don't think I'll bother with warranty. Taking the seller at face value he seems a really genuine guy. All receipts etc for work carried out on mh.
Thanks for replies
