The little plastic pin that drops into the slot for setting the door closed or ajar - has snapped.

I have no doubt, given time and patience, I could cobble together a DIY fix but I thought I'd see what it would cost for a genuine spare - I can't find a source anywhere - looked in all the usual places.

I can't believe I'm the first person to need one so I'm hoping someone here has had the same problem, and located a spare?

I seriously hope that 'your' waeco replacement is cheaper than the Dometic one. 31QsvmpFRmL._SY355_.jpg at £22+ on Amazon (cheapest I found was £12.50)

Not saying I bought it. Superglue and 15mins refashioning some spare plastic did the trick.

I find a stainless steel pop rivet does the trick for us and before that a golf tee fitted just fine :)

Mike,
Your alternative is admirable (we used the golf tee until I fixed the catch) but, that keeps the door closed. What do you do to keep the door slightly ajar when not used?

I did that, which was 'Fine'?
(look up womanspeak for that word when used in 'discussion' with husband when it is NOT, 'fine')
Until I tried moving 'van to another place at home to do some jobs.
Door flew open, crashed against table, invoked wrath of SWMBO and put me on 'Naughty' step!!!

Sorted.
I knew I would have something in my shed that would do the trick - a number 2 Rawlplug (red) - a perfect fit. Careful drilling and super gluing saved me £22.80 + £2.50 P&P.

Well done that man.

Nothing like a bit of bodging to make you feel good.
