Good evening all..
My parents are in spain enjoying the sunshine. Lucky them. They have my sky go but now due to brexit are unable to watch it. Does anybody know a way they could get it maybe ive heard of a vpn?? Any recommendations..
Many thanks.

Sky can see if your running a VPN and stop the services, I use IPTV from anywhere and watch anything.

Many thanks Brian but your talking to a absolute novice at anything computer based. Sorry if this makes it complicated but i would need step by step instruction:LOL:

Express VPN works with Sky Go abroad, well it did for us last October. I tried various other ones that wouldn't work, you do have to pay for it however, you can cancel with no termination costs.

Skygo won't work with my bitdefender VPN.

Many thanks. I will get them to give Express VPN a go.

Does anyone know why commercial channels restrict geographical coverage? Why would it matter where you watch it as long as you're paying your subscription?

Its because the programme makers sell their programmes sperately to different broadcasters in different countries so they don't want a situation where people can find alternative sources making it unsustainable for broadcasters to make money out of their purchases.

A UK traveller to EU gets UK content. And vice versa.
From here:

European Netflix Account

If your account is from an E.U. member state (i.e. you pay for it in a European currency, have a European IP address etc) then wherever you travel in Europe you will only see the content from your home country.

Someone from the UK travelling in France will see the content from UK Netflix and not the different French content however an American travelling around Europe will see the content from the country they are currently in. I.e. it only affects subscribers who pay for their account in Europe

In other words, For EU registered accounts, they can take their home catalogue with them and access them whilst being in the EU.
It looks like a positive thing the EU did. Source

I'm sure you will see 'scams' from time to time allowing you to buy these services in Asia or S America for a tenth of what we pay in the UK. Not sure who is scamming who.

Do you know if this will be the same for NowTV?
Yes, I was an employee of Sky for 13 years but decided to jack it in last October, Skygo and NowTV can only be watched within the U.K.

I’ve used most VPNs and some will say yes they work but trust me Sky ain’t stupid going forward.

The only way to watch programs like this is via IPTV yes it’s a risk but works flawlessly and don’t ask me how it works.

What IPTV site do you use?

Sorry for my delay but a free good option for a VPN is “Psiphon” available from App and Play stores, this VPN is upgradable for faster speeds as well. This VPN work well with Netflix and Amazon Prime video but its hit and miss with Sky go.

If you want then to be truly hidden from everyone and thing download Tor browser and you browsing will also be hidden.

Have fun.

What is working for me in France at the moment is a uk sim card in a mifi device no vpn required, but i realise this would not be helpful if your parents are now living full time in Spain.

Tor browser is great. But Sky Go doesn't run in Tor so no good for that😟

I have Nord and sky go app works with that however we are in Uk at moment will be trying it out next month in Spain and Portugal🤔🤞

Generally if it works in the UK it will work anywhere. That's so long as the vpn is active. The trouble is not kidding SKY go about the location, it's about kidding it that there is a vpn.

For example if I run it at home here in the Isle of Man without the vpn it works. If I set the vpn on and change the location to the Isle of Man it won't work. Same with bbc iplayer.
My vpn is avira so it looks like I need to change to nord or express.

Iptv might be. Anyone know if Premier league is available on catchup.
