Hi all, it appears that Vodafone will soon be offering unlimited mobile data packages in 4 and 5G at very reasonable rates, what do you all think?

Already have that with Virgin for £24/month. At least 4g. Don't know about 5g.

These launched on Wednesday 10th and all include a 25GB usage cap for Europe, the 'old' 100GB tariff now discontinued had no such cap.

So while it might be a step forward for the UK, it's a step backwards for roaming as the biggest tariff presently available is 50GB on a mobile broadband SIM.

My thoughts too. I've got a 50Gb a month plan with them which I can now change, but I missed the opportunity to grab the 100Gb deal when it was available. :( I used nearly the full amount in France for the last two months so a 25Gb cap in Europe would be frustrating for me. A pity but no doubt other deals will come along.

What happens with the 100gb contracts at contract end? (I have one, and 2 phone contracts at 50gb each)

Agreed, I found this as I just scraped inside the deadline to get the 100gb one.
I tried it this weekend in Warwickshire, had a Moto-E2 doing Hotspot on the cupboard above the cab getting 4G so I could watch Netflix with ease on my other phone or my PC. If I ever need more than 100gb I'll probably need to have a nice walk away from the box anyway..

You can just keep going with whatever the deal was in my experience. They don't expire. :)
I think you may find that this has changed. I have just received a letter stating that my year is up so choose another or they will put me on a monthly deal.

Just reviewed my 100gb contract. I think what will happen is that it will revert to £40 per month, the £20 being the discounted first year. Not that I could have argued that I wanted that rate going forward to infinity, or indeed a second year even! So I will look around again when it comes to expire.
