Being a complete numbskull when it comes to electrics can someone tell me why the reading on my MH panel shows 12.2 volts and the reading on the Victron app shows 13.67 volts. Current on the panel shows 1.8 amps with just a couple of phones charging but the Victron app shows no current. The Victron mppt75/15 has just been fitted and the battery is a AGM about nine months old.
We’re on site now so have no access to multimeters etc. Any body explain possible problem very simply?

You are on site. Are you on hookup? How long have you been on hookup?

Is the sun shining? Where are you? north Scotland? south spain?

Is your MH panel reading the same battery? You can usually view both the cab and leisure battery from the panel so make sure you're looking at the same one as the Victron kit will be displaying the leisure battery info.

The solar charger tells you how much it's feeding into the system. The van's panel will tell you how much current is going in and out of the battery. Assuming you're not on EHU, adding their currents together will tell you how much devices (like he phone charger) are using. But note that many panel shunts aren't that sensitive, so it might just show zero if it's below about half an amp in or out.

Not on hookup as we were trying out the new bit of kit to see if it could cope with not being on hookup when on the way to Portugal next month. In Lincolnshire at the moment where it’s cloudy but bright

The panel says it’s reading the leisure battery. Can’t get the van battery on the panel shows. Curious that the app shows no current even with a couple of bits charging

Van panel shows 2 amps but the Victron app shows zero

So 2 amps is leaving the battery. The solar isn't sending anything.
Looks like it as you say. I’ll have to check back with the guys who installed it. I suppose it’s not possible that the solar is sending charge to the van battery?

Only if it’s wired to a duel solar controller or it’s wired wrong!!

Pictures of what’s fitted will help people see what you are dealing with

Victron will only charge the leisure battery, voltage readings on panels are often out.
Post a photo of your Victron info, Victron's are normally fairly accurate with voltage readings, check your battery voltage with a multimeter.

Thanks everyone. Will have a go at posting pics tomorrow
