I[m sorting out my home office and going to add two extra monitors on a stand, but for the life of me I cant find a VESA type monitor... Suggestions?

What do you mean by VESA type monitor? Do you mean monitors with VESA mounting points? In which case, I'm not sure I've ever seen one without such points. Although they may be in use by the desk stand.

Monitors don't get supplied with the VESA Mount, what they have is the four holes in the back that will receive the mounting plate screws. Similar arrangements for TV.

The wall bracket, pivoting arm or whatever is usually supplied with the VESA mounting plate and screws. just make sure that the VESA plate is the same size as the monitor, usually 100mm square, but smaller size is I think 75mm, and the heavier bigger TVs could well be 200mm.

There are two main VESA standards I am aware of. The video standard which are pretty complex and the mount standards.
For the former see here. https://vesa.org/standards-specifications/
If you are talking about the latter, Most monitors still come with VESA mounting holes. you just need to get the stand, wall mount etc that you want.

Perhaps explain the issue a bit more please?

It's not easy but if you go to a site like Currys, search for monitors that are wall mountable and then check the spec. Alternatively try using an HD TV and use the HDMI input.
