Van conversation in 27 minutes.

A nice job. I'm not decrying his skills for one moment, but I don't think there's any one job in there that is that hard, though it does need a wide range of skills.

Personally I would have wanted to have started with a much, much better condition van - a huge part of his work was just getting what was a shed back to be a decent base vehicle. Maybe it's what he could afford though, and fair play he did a great job in pulling it back to the finished condition, very impressive.

I'm retiring in 5-10 years time, current family coachbuilt won't be needed by then as it'll likely be just me and my better half. I'm seriously considering doing my own panel van conversion, but starting with a brand new van - something much larger than a Transporter, it's got to be a high top (I'm tall and don't like pop tops). We shall see!

I'm impressed. If I attempted one small job out of that I'd loose some bits and get stuck within 10 mins!

I saw it a few weeks ago. Looks OK apart from the pathetic insulation.

Yeah, that was my thought to - insulation sadly lacking. Mind you, with a single skin canvas pop top, you must lose most of the heat through that anyway.
