I have two NHS hearing aids which are quite good, but I have trouble using phones. Has anyone experience of using a Phonak Easycall bluetooth transmitter?

Is your phone a Smart Phone? If yes it should be simple to connect your hearing aid direct to the phone via Bluetooth, you will first need to download the App which you will find here:

Tried it but not compatible with my Phonak Cross aids which surprises me as the aids are Bluetooth linked due to the left ear only being there to support my glasses so left sound is transfered to my right aid.

Don't hearing aids have a "T" position these days?
Mine doesn't but it does have LOOP as found in banks, supermarket tills etc.
Load of crap so I had mine disabled.
If I accidently turned it on the alternator RF or heater motor in the car was horrific

Installed app, but iphone can't see the hearing aids. I'll ask the audiologist if bluetooth has been turned off

You need to go into settings on iPhone select Accessibility on left of screen and then select Hearing Devices on right of screen at the top you should see Phonak simply go through the process of pairing you phone to your hearing.
I’m sure you will manage it,don’t be afraid of playing around as you cannot damage anything.
Once connected you can probably set up different tones etc additionally you can listen to Music as well as taking phone calls through the Hearing Aids.
You could also go on YouTube and check out Phonak IPhone connection l am sure you will see a tutorial on it.
Hope this helps.

Going back to a previous life I remember loop transmitters installed in land-line phones for the first time. It's years since I thought about them - this thread reminded me.
