Looks nice enough but surely no one in their right mind would bid without a good look first, quality vans those.

at least it gives someone on here the opportunity to go and look. if I was looking for a top quality, albeit older van and I had the chance of driving (overnight and staying somewhere if I had to) then I would be tempted

- I wonder how many people would say 'if only I had known' .... well, now they might get chance (pity it wasn't posted a few weeks ago, to give people a real chance to look at it)

15 photos and it looks really great for its age and 12 month MoT - surely worth a look for someone with a limited budget - so long as they hear it drive into the auction shed of course ......

WOW
171,000km.
Did I read that right?
it looks like it, but that's only 107k miles on a 23 year old van, averaging 5k a year isn't hard !

though from the condition of the inside it looks as though its been very well looked after (are those bunk beds at the back or a single bed?)

I like this comment on the MOT check,

  • unable to dect exhaust emissions (too clean)

The bit on the previous and current MoT reports that I didn't like is the front cross member beam being corroded, though to be fair its been there on the MoT reports for a good few years now, so might not be that bad as its only an advisory to monitor and not to do the work as soon as they can

theres always going to be work needed and if the price is right - especially if the buyer can weld .... someone might get a great van VERY cheap - though I wouldn't be brave enough LOL

Here's a 1998 one in Germany as a price guide,

I think you have to watch the 5th gear on these as they are sat at the top of the box and don't always get enough oil.

The leisure Sale is just dumped in with all the cars 4x4 vans etc , so it could fetch very little money.
Might be a bargain for someone.

that looks like a double bed at the back of the one in Germany for sale- I thought the auction one was just a single or bunk beds but might be a bad photo - but 25000 euros WHAAAAAAAAAAAT ? and here I was thinking it might go for under 10k because of its age!!!

Martin, I thought the trick was to top the gearbox oil above the filler line to help rectify the lack of oil to 5th gear (as with fiat ducatos ?) - but hey, I am not a spanner expert, but i can tighten stuff up ...

Common on Duactos, had the same issue on my 1999 Swift, was only £200 or so to sort, good for another 20 years now :)

The firm Martin linked to sell good vans but they are really top money they ask for them, one of the most expensive dealers I have been to in Germany. When we had the double glazed side windows replaced in our van last year they were near the place we had it done at so we called in.

There was this one 1995 for Euro 16.5k, but not sure about the graphic job

That makes it an even better bargain then. My money is on it being bought then shipped back to Germany for resale !!

Guide price is between 14500-15500 quid.
About right I guess at auction and should be a good van for that, being a Flair it will be all alloy bodywork, we have a couple of friends with these models and the woodwork inside is proper quality.

i missed watching it online - does anyone know what price it went for ?

Just as a matter of interest I rang Brightwells to ask how much it sold for and I was informed it didn't sell.
So if anyone is interested it will probably be entered in the next auction!

No bids or didn't meet reserve?

Sale was yesterday but I can't see any reference to it being sold or not on their site so I assume no bids ...

Must admit I didn't ask if there were any bids but she was very open about , I am sure if anyone wants to ask her if there were no bids or would they take an offer she would tell you.

Would a kind funster who lives nearby have a quick look at it, could be a good bargain for someone or could be a pile of rubbish.
