Lots but slow learner.
I so tried staying on the A381 to Two Mile Oak, however a missed left turn took me down some very narrow lanes/roads/tracks only to meet oncoming local traffic. The air must have been blue at times, not from my cab as i was cool calm and collected.
Got there in the end. Dornafield Camping and Touring Park. What a beautiful well laid out site. In a wooded valley with lots of tracks to walk. A old lime kiln and other interesting stuff. Lovely area.
Fully serviced pitch.
Walked to the Two Mile Oak pub for libation, ok but decided not to eat there. Their Sunday roast is said to be spot on, however full up for Sunday.
Having a walk into Ipplepen later. About 1 mile.
Pics to follow as i have to get the bacon on 🐂 (couldn't find a pig)

So it was you! Lol. There’s also the Union Inn at Denbury about a mile away and the cakes at Fermoy’s garden centre on the main road to Ipplepen are very nice, again an easy walk from Dornafield.

Thanks for the tips. Not a lot going on in Ipplepen eh. Had coffee at The Wellington.

Another vote for Fermoy's, also try the meat from the butcher there,

Tally Ho pub at Littlehempston. Kelly and Mike are the best hosts, lovely old pub, great food and real ales. If you’re lucky, Betty (basset hound) may be around!

They used to have a fish and chip van come on site which was really good. If the campsite is still the same owner he is about 90 and a real Character. The exit is interesting in a large motorhome. (y)

Thought I recognised the Place, Along while ago (1980`s). I used to do the annual Boiler Survey at Buckfast Abbey, The Boiler, which supplies steam and heating for their Buckfast producing process. There was a Farm Locally which was another "call". Another age I guess?.

No F&Cs van. Re exit, bit tight but not too bad (although not left yet)

There is a big old house as you enter the site, wouldn't call it an Abbey, but what do i know???

Lot of years since I was there, I hardly remember it`s layout, just that they had some steam cooking pan`s as well as this ancient steam boiler, all of which looked as if they came from a guy named Noah?. It was along trek down from Yeovil, just for 3 items and maybe a couple of other job`s. I spent more time in the car than actual working, Then a long trek back, usually to get caught up in the Exeter "rush hour", back up the 303 to Podimore.

Had you used to work for National Vulcan or similar, or was it the Local Authority annual survey?

I have taken photos. Got them from my phone to this pc but cannot find them. Will post when i get home on other pc so you can see if it's the same place. Or google Dornafield Touring C Park see if it's the same.

Started with Scottish Boiler, when I left the M-N, which became eventually after several mergers, Plant Safety. Retired 3 years early in 1997 rather than re-locate to Wales. To miss quote the "Godfather" "I got an offer I could not refuse".

BTW, is Treagar Mills still going?. They had some small Steam Trains there in my day?.

It may of been easier to write your post on the phone as when there your phone’s default pic location will be shown in “Attach Files”.

On your PC - if it’s Windows 10 there are places called “Recent Items” / “Recent Places” - one or both appear in Quick Access.
A Mac may have similar features.
