Hi all

To avoid a 1 year wait for a new motorhome we made a few compromises and eventually bought one with very light upholstery.

Can anyone recommend an upholsterer who could recover the seats with a good quality leather?

Thanks in advance

Peter

Many of them are a bit further north than you. I had an Autosleeper with cream upholstery with three muddy dogs and also a bunch of pissed dinghy sailors at open meetings/championships. You will be amazed at how this stuff cleans up. I did bin the cream carpet though! I would strongly suggest that you go with it and use a few throws if necessary (current van cream leather but still use throws) and take your time deciding. You might be surprised and also save a bunch of dosh to spend on something else that you never knew that you needed :whistle2:

Alternatively, there might be a local upholstery company in Kent. After all a seat is a seat is a seat.......

We've used this company in Germany to replace a damaged seat cushion:

They produce all the upholstery for Carthago so have templates for all the models.

I would guess you're looking at €2000 for the hab area plus cab seats. They have overnight parking.

Are you sure about leather?

You stick to it in hot weather

I wouldn't have leather but if you go down that route check out the quality of the product as leather does differ quite a lot.

Come in Peter, come in Peter, your time is up.

Well, either Peter has forgotten his post, forgotten about Fun,or forgotten about his upholstery. All that time I spent googling for him.....must have taken me all of two minutes!

Would be nice to know he’s alive though.
