……..from Deco M5s (x6) to one Deco X90 and two Deco X68s, mainly for Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) to compliment iPhones and iPads, but also to give better coverage with fewer Mesh units. Initial testing seems to confirm that the ax Wi-Fi does have increased range, and the 5GHz dedicated backhaul really does help rather than ‘sharing’ bandwidth with the signal channels. Once the network stabilises, I’ll run some further tests……and then it would be nice to get a faster broadband connection to the house instead of the paltry FTTC we have at present…… :(
5G mobile is now available in Cirencester so, if LIT Fibre don’t come good on their promise of FTTP in the ‘next few weeks’, I may well opt for a mobile solution for the house….(y)

Why did I give up learning Cantonese😁

Its not Cantonese ... it sounds like Nerdish. An abscure language, based on Gobbledegook. ::bigsmile:

AndyPK You sound like you might be the person to ask this?

Why can't I use the MHF emoji thingys on my tablet but they work ok on my laptop?
What tablet and PC are you using (Apple/Samsung etc.) and operating system on each device? Also the browser you use for the internet would help………?

I use Deco M5's been very pleased with them, tried M4's compared to the M5 they were a bit naff nowhere near as good coverage & the M5's transmit through walls better.
Only fitted them last year so won't be upgrading yet as they do everything I need.

Also good that they are so ‘low profile’ and easy to ‘hide’ - the X90 looks like an ‘electric kettle’,
so SWMBO informs me………..!

One reason I returned the M4's was due to 'er indoors opinion of the looks, good result M5' s perform so much better.

I use the TP link for a seamless network in the town house and its been one of the best things I've done in a while

I have tried the M4 and the M5, traffic can be bad around dinnertime

I prefer the M6 though often use the A1(M) when going up to Manchester..

I still use a pencil.

I installed 2 tplink WAP EAP225 one in roof for coverage in house and one on the back to cover our 600m sq garden, excellent coverage, they work off PoE so installed one switch in loft and ran both from there. BT router does not transmit just ran cable to switch in loft.

Tenda works for me as well tonka (think it was one of your earlier posts that recommend them).
No need to spend the earth to get good results and yes I am a cheapskate.

Another plus from an M5 user.
Will have to look into this upgrade.

We've just moved (from Virgin) to an Unlimited 3 SIM in a Teltonika MIMO router at home, fed from 2 cross-polarised LPDA antennae in the loft, and distribute around the house via the mains with Tp-Link adapters. When we go away in the van, we take the router with us with the minimum of adjustment. We just have to disconnect the antenae at the house and reconnect to the van antennae.

Signal strength when at the house is -58dBm from the 4gLTE local mast and both download and upload speeds have been 30-40mB/s, typically. We're not gamers or live-streamers so that'll do me.

I did try some power line adapters a while back, but never got particularly good results….. :(

Wot I do is turn my phone into a hotspot then if my tele works I watch it and if it dont work I don't watch it

Poor man of the group here..
I can only afford Tenda.. 😭👍
That's what we have worked well for what we want, next Motorhome (on Order in February, now told could be March next year) has WiFi, built in and sat dish and TV aerial! That's if Fiat can produce chassis
