Had our new to us motorhome for a few weeks now bought from dealer in Preston. Husband noticed a small oil patch on the drive so investigated. It was coming from the oil sump and looked like the washer was slightly displaced so tried to correct it. This was unsuccessful so decided to drain the oil and see if washer needed replaced and this is what he found instead of the copper washer
Looks suspiciously like a flattened ring pull.

I believe aluminium sump washers are used on some vehicles. But looks like it wasn't fitted properly.
Check if your vehicle recommends copper or aluminium washer?

Looks too big for the job and overtightened.
Another substandard operative.

Car parts place put reg in and said it was the copper one. Either way the washer removed is not the right size or thickness hence the leak.
My husband is a mechanic so has seen one before.
