Yeah I keeping checking our local ad sites and market place, good to know about Morrison’s our local one doesn’t do fuel so no gas bottles there. I’ll find out where our nearest one is that do gas. There are a few advertised on Gumtree.
Also consider getting a butane (blue) bottle because Morrisons will allow you to exchange it for a propane bottle.
It’s taken me just over 5 years to get rid of three 13kg propane cylinders. I finally gave the last two to my neighbour for his super ser heater in his garage. Nobody wanted them. I literally struggled to give them away.Propane gas bottles appear to be like rocking horse Pooh atm can’t find one in 6, 11 or 13 kg calor, or flogas new or 2nd hand, I bet there are loads at the back of garages and sheds up and down the country, so frustrating.
Telephone the Peterborough Flogas depot and see if they have stocks? I am going to Thetford bash and wouldn't mind taking one for you if you arrange. My work takes me to Oxford sometimes too.Propane gas bottles appear to be like rocking horse Pooh atm can’t find one in 6, 11 or 13 kg calor, or flogas new or 2nd hand, I bet there are loads at the back of garages and sheds up and down the country, so frustrating.
Hi Billylyne5Thanks folks, we may have sourced one but illlet you know Marty Gilly and Pup if we need to take you up on your offer,
Our local tip is unbelievably strict and unbending in their rules
Our tip has loads, but will not sell them due to Elf & Safety regulations, so they say !!Local tip is best option
My tip is the same and operated by a French company. Can't get near anything and it's posh; the site having been redesigned a couple of years ago and rebuilt including a travellers' site. I reckon the tip staff have private arrangements for the cylinders which are kept in a locked cage. There's a scrappy a mile up the road (one of my old school chums) for vehicle batteries (a tenner for each), copper pipe and other recyclable metals. Handy that I can use his weighbridge FOC!Our tip has loads, but will not sell them due to Elf & Safety regulations, so they say !!
Go to you local tip, ask the lads and if your luck you might find a nearly full one.
The cage for gas bottles at our local tip always used to be full, not seen a single bottle in there for at least 9 months.Local tip is best option
The OP is having trouble getting cylinders, not gas.I refill mineat local petrol station small cost to price of exchanging bottle
