Our new UK Global Health Insurance Cards - replacing the EHICs - arrived in the post this morning!
Our EHICs expired in late November last year and managed to apply online for the new ones between Christmas and New Year, as soon as the relavent Govt page went live.
They are valid for 5 years and to all intents and purposes, appear to do exactly what the EHICs did, with the addition - according to the letter attached - "You may also be covered for necessary healthcare in some non-European countries. Check the Gov.uk foreign travel advice for the country you're planning to visit."
All a bit ironic, just at the moment I guess...
Anybody else got one yet?
