I am a newbie
I have been advised to let some air out of the tyres to give a more comfortable ride. The pressure at the moment is 69.9psi. Could I ask for some advice on this subject. Thank you

I run 55psi all round on a Fiat Ducato Chassis with a 3,500kg van. Quieter and more comfortable, 69.9psi must shake your fillings out.

Depends entirely on the make of tyre. You will need to know the axle weights then to be sure of getting the right answer ask the tyre manufacturer.

Continental are slightly different in that they publish the pressures and you can then decide yourself.

As DBK says, you should go by tyre manufacturers information for your tyres specifically, based on axle weights which are shown on the vehicle plate. The problem with not doing so is that in the event of an insurance claim, you may have a problem, even if the incorrect tyre pressure was not the cause of the accident.
