Reading the thread on tyre pal I’ve just bought a set (with discount 🙂) but on looking at the instructions I noticed that tyre pal cannot be used with tyre sealant ,which is the best way forward?tyre pal no sealant/sealant no tyre pal ?

Not surprisingly :) our vote would be for TyrePal having had many years with good experience of using it on both car & motorhome but sure there are some who have also had good experience of the sealant but if choosing that option would be careful what type & from which supplier so feedback from users on here should be helpful.

I have used the sealant with tyrepal.
Ocassionally the sealant will block the tyrepal sender, stopping it from working, but it can be cleaned out. I'm not sure I'd recommend it, but it can be done.

I understand Tyreseal is a problem with tyre fitters in the event of tyre change so I only ever used it in cycles and lawn tractor.
Tyrepal has worked well for me.

From their ads it’s water soluble so just hose the rim down but I’ve no knowledge of the truth of this.

Not sure I would like the sealant in my tyres.

Even run flats need a pressure monitor to alert you to the puncture. Sealant will seal the hole and you will be oblivious to any tyre damage.

The below picture is from a colleagues response car. He was doing 100mph when his tyre pressure monitor alarmed on his vehicle on the way to an incident on the M6.

He safely stopped and this was the cause, thankfully no damage done and no blowout. Had it been equipped with sealant, it wouldn’t have lost the air and he would have been none the wiser.

I wouldn’t want to drive at 10mph with that in my tyre, let alone motorway speeds.

Tyre pal gets my vote.
