I will 2nd both of Janine's suggestions.
cheltenham racecourse it’s good, bus stop in car park

Willows, Huntingdon, pleasant little site
Pub/restaurant within a few hundred yards

Wyton lakes is far far nicer and more interesting IMO.
Nicer views around 2 lakes, nearby pub and garden centre(coffee shop), and short cycle/ walk to St Ives

Cropredy is not far from you, not a lot in the village, a spar type shop, couple of nice pubs, good food and beer small c&cc site (might be a CL) bus into Banbury or £8 in a taxi, check it’s not flooded though! (y)

Mortin in marsh, cmc site walk into town

Hartsholme Lincoln.

Rowntree Park, York

Can you actually get on this? we ve tried numerous times over the years and managed it only once.

AFAIK it suffers from the book everything they might want to do and cancel it at the last minute lot.

It’s a nightmare but if you keep checking (a couple of times a day) you can get pitches. I was there this weekend for 2 nights with another couple who managed to grab the same dates by checking over and over. We also did the same Easter weekend earlier in the year.

a lot of sites are fully booked for tonight still not got anything will try some of the suggestion now
Thanks
