About to go to new home, but had a thought.. I know dangerous...

Is it possible to network a freesat or freeview box so that you can 'link' any smart TV in the house to the freesat/freeview box, either wifi or ethernet. Or could you stream from the freesat/freeview box?

If you're looking to view different channels on each TV simultaneously think you need a "box" for each TV.

on (in?) my camper, I have Now TV, Amazon Fire and a 1Tb HD Humax box, all plugged into a HDMI distribution unit which then feeds the three Smart TV's (one 50' and two 42') and an internal surround sound system and and the external sound system, for the outside TV

So, we can either have simultaneous audio and video inside and outside of the camper, which is great for watching Sports with a few chums while BBQ'ing for example, or as all three TV's (and the Humax) box share the camper vans WiFi network "on demand" can be watched on three separate TV's via the Humax or all three individually with a mix and match approach to the audio to suit

Look at a HDHomerun quatro in the house. Or an Extend. That will enable 4 tuners from one terrestrial feed which can be connected to your router and distributed by WiFi or hard wire ethernet to any smart device in the house. You could run PLEX media server or ChannelsDVR server on a small NAS to use as a central DVR for both access of recorded content throughout the house or remotely when travelling from your Firestick for example. In outline that's what I do.

+1 from me. Although I use Emby rather than plex as I had trouble running plex on my Amazon Fire stick and fire cube.
I run emby on a roku stick + various tablets and phones (using the HDHomeRun).
I also have an android box in the van running emby to access live TV on the HDHomeRun (and my recordings, box sets etc) over my Vodafone 100Gb SIM plan.
Hope this helps

I have Emby too but it is not good at remote access if I remember. But I have now committed to Plex as my media manager, however its guide data has been hit and miss so I use Channels DVR to schedule recordings and have Plex watch its recording folders on the NAS.

Yes I heard that, but I have reverse proxy in front of all my incoming connections, so dont use the inbuilt Emby remote access
