Probably a stupid question to ask but if you use the sites connection on the facilities post, do you have to switch a switch or something? Have connected but picture is still a bit hit and miss. The previous owner(s) have had a free view box or similar and there are a few left over cables but I really have no idea what or where they go.

If I connect to the sites feed then I have to swap the input to my tv splitter/booster that is in my wardrobe so that it isn’t supplied by my antenna.

I have found a Vision Plus VP1 in the wardrobe. It has a black and a white aerial lead, I have plugged and unplugged in as many combinations as possible but no change. Checked site connection and it looks a bit fubar, so that might the issue….or everyone comments about needing a self seeking satellite system and automatic levelling to ensure the best possible picture😁

Have you tuned your TV to the local transmitter ?

the amplifier in the wardrobe is unlikely to be connected to the outside socket. You probably have another wire tucked away to plug into the back of the tv instead of the current one. Then go into the menu and retune the tv for every new site you go to

Mine was wired by swift to a sat plug in EHU point then wired direct inside to the sat terminal so I had to get a coax to sat cable to connect to the TV coax socket

We had an external aerial point fitted - when used I had to plug the lead from the external socket into the signal amplifier after unplugging the Status aerial lead……..

Checked the post this morning and the aerial connection is totally naffed but tv reception is markedly improved. Not the end of the world but I’m the sort of person that if I have it, it’s got to work or not worthwhile having.

From what I can see you have one input and one output so I would assume the one input is from your roof mounted antenna, not the side of the van input, used when connected to site antenna. Do you have another coax point behind tv?

We have an outside socket to connect to site antenna. This sockets cable terminates in another socket next to TV then independent cable to tv. Don't use the booster.

Can't help with the Vision Plus box but I have a coax cable with connector fitted to one end which sits next to the EHU inlet and behind the flap.
If I'm on a site with a TV bollard and the Sat signal is poor, I use this.
The other end is fed up to the back of the TV and I just plug it into the TV.
I use a COAX extension cable from the site bollard to the connector below.

Don’t know!! The aerial connection on the site post is fubar but I’ll know for next time.
An easy way to check if there is a TV signal from a site bollard is just to run your aerial cable from the bollard directly to the RF input socket on the back of the TV (through an open window?) then retune the TV.

I had considered adding an external TV socket feeding the TV but as we have a sat dish and rarely use terrestrial TV aerial we just route the cabling as above via one of these (other versions are available) that permits the window to be closed.
