Hi all, we have the tunnel booked at the end of the month and heading down toSpain for 3 months, can’t wait. Just wondering where everyone is getting their covid tests done, at home or visiting a chemist?

Hi Popty, nothing booked, we will just chase the sun, hopefully. One definite though is La Linea so we can re visit Gib, I served out there 84-87 and love the place. We will use a mixture of aires and sites.

Ten days ago we used “Simplytestme”. £12.50 each, quick service and simple to use. We got our results within 15 minutes.

Eurofin have a testing booth at Asda at Ashford Kent, just down the road from the tunnel, you book a time slot and pay online then turn up on your way to the tunnel and they do the test and give you the results within a few minutes, costs £34.90, the booth is by the click and collect area at the side of the building.

Hi Maison- when you booked with Simply test me did you get an email or a pay receipt please? It says clearly on site 'make sure you only click submit once ' so when I did I expected some form of response from the screen but have not got one so [duh!!!] no idea if it went through or not and don't want to wait days to find out they didnt get the application. TIA for any info [ and of course I clicked it again .... before anyone asks

With some systems if you submit twice it cancels the order, this happened to me when i accidentally submitted twice when making a ccc booking, i had to ring them and do it over the phone.

We had to fill in the results of our test in the Passenger Health Declaration section. It was either that or show paperwork at a desk.
Obviously another paperwork exercise.

E-Mail results.

Ours were through within 15 minutes but I suppose it could take longer at busy times.

Have yours arrived OK?

Did you see your test result photo of the test strip on their web site? If so, it went through OK. If not,I would contact them.

When I booked with them I got a text message and email straight away.

simplytest me booked on line confirmation e mail received, testing pack arrived next day.
as stated before only press submit button once. booked ours to get away Friday 11th ski trip.

But been waiting and waiting but NO confirmation email that the test pack was booked despite repeated button pressing !
It May Be Me - and luckily we dont go until 16th Feb so time to re do but the celtic genes prevented me from doing it again and paying again! This trip may well be the death of me [and I dont even Ski !!!!!]

Hiya ,and again many thanks for help and encouragement
Think their website was down earlier today or mine was - anyway
just tried again for me, started this PM with Sarahs details and as this did not work thought would not be chancing a THIRD submit with her application....
MY booking went ok until the end - I was about to obsessively check details before pressing SEND and it sent as soon as I had entered credit card - without me pressing Send [is there no God?] and Oh Please! I have spelt my name wrong [or it has ] ie iKristen
Got an instant email and text confirmation for this sods law. No changes allowed !!
Have also just booked Sarahs LFT with no errors and got another instant email and text so when I have recovered I will re book for me - and tomorrow the grandkids
[pray for me fellow funsters -especially the IT challenged]

PS Simplytestme still cheaper for us all despite big fat mistake !
