Ordered a 4M long Thule 6300 Awning and roof mounting Mercedes Sprinter brackets { circa £850 }from an Awning Supplier.
Thule sent it to me using Tuffnells Courier Service.
The Brackets were left down My driveway but no-one knocked.
The awning wasn't left but I had a missed mobile phone call at 18.06 { No voicemail }.
I rang the mobile 6 mins later but no answer.
The next day I rang the mobile again and this was answered. It was the courier who said that He left the brackets
but not the awning.
nearly 2 weeks later, still no awning delivered.
The van in question is for a 'care worker'.
Tuffnells tracking number says "no delivery found" { or similar quote }.
Nobody answers if you phone them up.
You can't get very far on their website unless you are an account holder.
Even the Awning Supplier cannot get through to Tuffnells.
If they can lose an expensive 4M long awning at circa £850 and are not contactable
do they deserve your business ?

I can only sympathise with you.

It was Tuffnells who left my package at the right house number, on the right street, but in totally the wrong village. Granted, both villages started with the same letter but they are 10 miles apart, and obviously the postcode is totally different.

Luckily the person who found the package left abandoned in their garden contacted me and I went round to collect it.

When asked by the sender Tuffnells said they had delivered to the correct address and their GPS proved it.

I now wouldn't knowingly purchase from a company that use Tuffnells as their courier, although, at least I know the lady at the other house would contact me to collect it.

Any use

I used to get my rolls of awning material delivered by them. They often arrived dirty and damaged.

Absolute croc of shite. They’ve had my order, well one part, of three, for over a week, and their tracking is shocking. Will never buy from anybody who uses them again. They will eventually reply to you via email, but the response is to talk to the sender. But the sender doesn’t know where you’ve hidden the parcel does he you tool. ???????

Tufnells delivered a flat pack wardrobe a few months ago that looked like it had been fished out of a skip, dropped back into the skip from a great height then thrown onto the lorry by Geoff Capes. The delivery driver said he would take lots of photos and wouldn't accept it if he were us but we were really desperate for it that day. I sent photos to the supplier then found there were a few parts missing so fabricated some new bits myself and got a 50% refund, no arguing.

Same here. 3 deliveries of plastic cladding 5 metre lengths. Each delivery had some damaged sections. The first delivery was in 2 packages but only received one. The second arrived weeks late by which time my supplier had already replaced it.
Tracking is useless and if they respond to emails its to tell you to contact your supplier.

Having had the misfortune of having worked for Tufnells BobtheBass is not far off the mark. Absolute crap as a company in so many ways

It’s not just Tuffnels, Hermes are just as bad. Delivered my parcel to wrong street and asked me to sort it out. Took ages to sort out, they were useless.

Another day of lying from them. Two emails stating my delivery would happen yesterday. Nothing again.

Well I think Tuffnells are brilliant!(y)
Ordered something off ebay and supplier despatched same day via Tuffnells.(y)
I suddenly realised it was the wrong bl**dy thing I'd ordered!
A couple of weeks later Tuffnells still hadn't delivered it.
Full credit from supplier a couple of days after I complained of non-receipt.:whistle2:

Where is all this stuff that disappears going to? Hermes must have a hooky sales outlet on ebay or somewhere, I have provided them with a fair bit of stock myself! Still waiting for the latest Hermes disappearing parcel to turn up somewhere, that's three gone in a row. Why arent the buggers 100% liable for their incompetence with no argument or insurance cons?

Regular auctions to dispose of the stuff.

I had an issue with a royal mail delivery left in a bin which you guessed was them emptied in tto he bin lorry! It was odd because Royal Mail are normally very good.

I contacted customer service who told me that they would try and help but the contract was between the seller and the courier, so contact the seller to sort it out.

The seller sent a new item all sorted but I would suggest you need to chase the seller. I do agree about Tuffnels, absolutely dreadful.
