Trying to buy my motorhome

Yesterday I had some one knock thr door and enquiring if I wanted to sell my motorhome for and he would give s good price for it .
This is the third time in the last 4 months this has happened ,has anyone else had this .

Yes we had someone looking around ours didn't knock on the door my wife went to see what he was doing and he asked. It was probably a good few months ago. We tightened up on security and started parking very close behind it with one of the cars every night

That's what we've done ,more security to van and car blocking in van

We used to get this when we had our caravan on the drive, always a worry but thankfully nothing ever happened. The MH is parked at the rear and is largely out of sight it doesn’t attract as much attention.

Has happend a few times with my Defender - Once they hear my big boy bark, they normally think better of asking anything else.

Ours is in secure storage well out of sight from the road 9 miles away from our house. Works for us.

Firstly I'd ask what layout they were looking for then quote them a silly price.

I read back in the day that there's less chance of a van being stolen if it's front in. Apparently potential thieves don't do reversing especially at night.

Funnily enough, yes on Friday evening, quite insistent, offered me £4000 less than what I paid for it . I'm in the process of improving my security

Generally it's folk from the travelling community that try it on knocking doors and pestering you to sell. If you have cameras you often see late night visitors looking around within a few days

It seems to be quite common at the moment, so will make things more secure etc,thanks for the reploys

First I got cards stuck in the door seal! Then I got a knock on the door asking if I knew the owner and if the van was for sale!
I said it wasn’t for sale, then one day a guy in a black Audi pulled up and said he would make me an offer I couldn’t refuse..........I said go on then........what the guy said!.....make me an offer I can’t refuse!!!!! He drove away
