Truma Water Heater failed

We have just begun a six week tour of France and our gas water heater has failed. The boiler fires up, the flue fan starts, makes a clattering noise and the boiler shuts down with the error indicator showing.
Does anyone think this can be fixed on the road or will I just have to get it fixed when we get home?

You don't say what type of heater it s, is it a Combi if so which model?

Sounds like a problem with the combustion fan, check there is no fluff or crud in it give it a clean and spray the bearing with silicon.
