There's not been anything done to the van, that I know of. I've only owned it since early June and from what I've seen so far, it's been quite neglected for some time. I'm just wondering if I got a contaminated refill, if that's possible, that's partially blocked the regulator.

Possibility of it being the gas valve on the boiler.

I think it won't be that, as the cooker dimmed when the boiler attempted to start which suggested gas starvation to me?

edit: oops mitzimad already pointed this out.

Thanks for the message Bessy765 In situe? Or remove it first? Should any of the boiling water go inside?

Do it in situ its sealed so no water will get inside, might be worth as and when changing the flexible hose for a stainless steel one. Sometimes the inside of the hose can break down ?

Update!!! New regulator arrived today. Fitted and now heating is working fine.
