My Truma switch always shows red light meaning hot water is not full.

I have run taps, but that makes no difference.

It works OK though.

Should I do anything?

We don't have the same Truma system but I thought the red LED on this unit was to indicate the gas, not hot water, cylinder was empty but .......?
Do you have two cylinders with switch over? Has the Reset button on the regulator "tripped"?
As said, don't have this system so "a bit of guessing".

My understanding is the Truma DuoC is a control for the gas bottles. The instruction manual says the red led lights up to indicate the “operating gas cylinder is empty”. So I guess it’s time to get some more gas!

As said....that is the controller for the gas regulator heater. Wavy lines is On ( use this if it is really cold weather) , O is off, red light at Cog is primary gas bottle is empty.

That is the Duo C the automatic gas changeover valve control.

Green light on the left side is primary gas bottle.
Red light on the right is secondary gas bottle.
3 position switch is off, on & regulator heater. Amber light when the heater is on, only needed when temperature is well below zero.

For it to work you must have both gas bottles turned on, you can select which one is primary on the regulator.

Thanks for input. I thought switch up was for heating and hot water, middle was off, down was hot water only. Will try to check on it later.
I only have one 11kg gas bottle connected at the moment. Had planned to buy 2nd one in France so it would be exchangeable there, but can't find a small gas bottle that will fit the space. Supposed to be 5kg but max diameter of 23.5 cm. Presumably a German gas bottle size.
