Its happened a few times and today was, I was just sat in the van testing my inverter, nothing running, control panel settings all off, and the boiler starting sounding like a small jet engine (slight exgaerration) . this kept running and blowing air though the vents for 20 minuts till I again switched off the 12v supply and it stopped. I know they have an overheat protection but it wasnt even in use.

Ive notice it a few time sbut obviously it nay have done it lots when Im not sat in the van , thus could be draining my batteries?

any ideas

thanks

In our AT the Sargent control panel (12v) can be all switched off however if plugged into EHU you can switch on the battery charger \ water heater \ heating on the 230v side.
So, is the heating \ hot water getting powered by your inverter?
When turning on our heating it can sound like a jet engine for a minute or so but never as long as 20 minutes.
As an aside I had to fit a kill switch to our radio \ media in the dashboard as the cooling fan frequently started running when the battery charger was switched on.
