Does anyone have any idea why the boiler although turned off at the controller decides to come back on periodically. This happens after the boiler is used for the water heating setting of 40c and probably 60c. Nothing to do with room thermostat for the heating.

Mine behaved oddly when a mouse partially ate the data cable connecting the boiler to the controller. Not easy to check if its a long one in awkward places.

Bit of an own goal really. Today for the first time the water was heated but not used. The boiler brings the fan into operation to dissipate the heat from the boiler casing if you switch the boiler off leaving the hot water inside. Generally the water is used so this safety cut in has never been observed.
One never stops learning.
Hope you caught Mickey. Thanks for the response.
