Good afternoon,
I have a Rapido with aforementioned heater installed. Through the summer months I have just used gas for everything however as the colder days are approaching I have been on EHU and discovered that I can heat water with electric there is no heat at all. I am not tech minded at all, the instructions state that it has a 10 amp fuse which looks very difficult to get at , also it was mentioned that a circuit board could have gone west.
Any ideas before the winter sets in.
Thanks in advance and stay safe

The fuse is not difficult to get to - it’s often the heater that’s difficult to reach!

Firstly, have you checked all the fuses in the garage, under the bed? I seem to recall that there was one for the heater there, but that may differ between models. The handbook identifies which fuse does what, so you should be able to either fix the problem, or eliminate that area fairly simply.

The heater Itself will have a rectangular black box on one side, attached, If I recall correctly, by a single screw in the middle. If you can get to that, and take It off, the fuse is easy to see and, if it is blown, replace.

We used to have a Rapido, and the heater was installed under the worktop, in a corner, seemingly inaccessible! If, however, you fully open the pull out cupboard, you can (just) get far enough in to remove the four screws that secure the back of the cupboard, behind which the heater is installed, and take it out
(the back of the cupboard, not the heater!!!) If you get that far, then you will see the black box on the left of the heater, take that off, and the fuse is at the top in a pcb mounted fuse holder, and easy to replace.

It’s much easier if you are a contortionist!!!

Good luck!!

I had to remove pretty well all the seating in the IH to get at my heater.

I posted a few photo's in my media. you can see the fuses etc
