I've never been that impressed with the hot air flow in our Hymer B544.
The Truma heats the hot water fine, but we don't get much force of air through the ducts.
Our previous Hymer T552 was like a gale blowing through. I've looked at the boiler and all seems okay the fan seems to work but is definitely not as noisy as the other van.
Is there any way to check it ?

No error codes showing.

I guess it depends how far away from the main boiler the vents are that your not happy with. If they run outside try lagging them.

Thanks, nothing runs outside,we have a double floor as the van is winterised, none of the 6 vents blow much air out.

Mines a bit weak on electric but like a furnace on gas! I guess that’s the difference between 1.8KW and 6KW though?

Check the flexi pipes are all connected especially at the back of the vent outlet.

We have the 4E and on electric it is a very poor air flow, but as Happy Jim says, on gas it is fierce.

Hiya BB (y)

We have the Truma 4e and it blows a gale on gas, sorry we don’t use it on lecky so can’t comment.

I wonder if you have a pipe that’s popped off a joint somewhere?

When you turn on the boiler to heat the van, does the fan not have 3 settings to select from the panel, ours sounds like a rocket ship, blows your trouser legs hard, until it reaches near temperature, then it calms down to a trickle. Maybe worth checking this out, you should really feel/hear the difference between the settings.
Edit: settings are ECO, Normal, Fast
Good luck.

There are two fan settings and those can be variable speed depending on temperature demand. In my van it does change and then I still need to balance the vents so there is good flow furthest from heater restricting the shortest ducts

I guess you're not using gas to heat?
If you're trying to heat on EHU alone, you're not going to get much from it in Winter.

We have Truma but not the same model. We only have gas.

When we start heating there is only a modest airflow. If the ambient temperature is very different from what we have selected on the controller then when the heating is working full then the fan starts blowing at full power until the selected temperature is nearly reached and then the fan falls back to a slow rate.

If the temperature at start up is near that selected the fast flow does not kick in.

Is it possible that you have been starting up in the latter case so it does not need the fast flow 'blast'?

Further to previous, maybe the room stat is faulty??

Do you have the CP+ controller or the dials?

On the CP+ you can increase fan speed but not if you have manual dials.

On manual dials set the thermostat to max and if there is a large difference between the ambient temperature and what you set on the dial it should blow faster and then slow down when close to the required temperature.

Sounds, [ no pun intended] like it's on the "Eco"setting. Have tried resetting the fan speed?
We're a 7mt van, and the fan is at the Truma is at the rear end, but even at the front on non eco setting we get quite a flow of air out.
Mike.

Thanks for replies, we use on GAS ONLY, we have the dials not the CP control. When we get home ill check the thermostat. Was thinking of changing to CP control, need to check out cost as current Truma pc board will need changing as well.

The only way to get the fan to run faster on the dials is as I previously wrote.

Ahh another use for frozen peas 🤣

Another thing to check is the fan for dust/blockage, I have the Combi 6 similar to yours but had a similar problem, opened the fan cowl and it was packed with dust, get a hoover and a toothbrush and clean it all out. The other suspect would be the stat, you could also hoover this out too and see how it goes. worth a try befor you start spending cash.

Did you find a resolution to this in the end?
